This useful, large oak sideboard-server has been hand painted in 'Uffizi' a hand-mixed, deep grey chalk paint. It has then been waxed and buffed to a light sheen. The worktop has been stripped and given a limewax finish, highlighting the woodgrain whilst keeping the colour pale and neutral. A completely unique, statement piece.
There are two shelved cupboards and three drawers, all with attractive panels or carving. Inside, to give a striking contrast to the subtle monochrome exterior the cupboards and drawers have all been painted with Emperor's silk, a rich, vibrant red which has been given a deep patina with aging waxes. The round drawer pulls and decorative hinges which are painted in the same grey paint have been distressed to reveal the detailing.
This dresser stands on criss cross legs with bar strut, which has the effect of visually lightening up what could appear to be a very bulky sideboard and maximises floorspace in a kitchen or dining room. Dimensions: W163cm x H82cm x D45.5cm
As with all furniture at Pippin & Tog this is a pre-loved item which has been restored and updated to give it a new lease of life. It's in great condition and has many of years life in it, given a little care, but this also means there is only one - once it's sold it's gone.
