A pretty little hand painted dresser with carved detailing.
A vintage dresser which will add a focal point to any kitchen or dining room.
Perfect for displaying pretty crockery or precious finds with plenty of useful storage room for the items you don't want to display. An upcycycled piece, hand painted in Pippin & Tog's country workshop using environmentally friendly paints.
We love this pretty small oak dresser at Pippin & Tog. It has been hand painted in Old Ochre (pale putty coloured) chalk paint, and distressed. The whole piece has been waxed and buffed to a very subtle sheen.
The piece separates into two pieces (top and bottom) so that it can be easily moved into position and assembled and is supplied with its original fixing bolts Beneath the attractively shaped cornice there are two tiers with grooves for the display of plates. The tongue and groove style back is painted in Duck Egg Blue to make an attractive backdrop for your crockery or ornaments. The lower half has two doors opening on to a shelved cupboard and two drawers all with pretty decorative carving. Inside, the cupboards and drawers have all been painted with Duck Egg Blue, which contrasts attractively with the subtle Old Ochre and ties in with the shelving above.
The acorn shaped drawer pulls and decorative hinges are painted in the same Old Ochre paint will all wear with age to give a wonderful patina.
This is a vintage piece and there is only one. It displays some of the little knocks and dents you would expect from a pre-loved item of furniture - something which we don't try to hide and which we think just adds to its character.
