We love that hand-decorated feel at Pippin & Tog - reminiscent of the furniture at Charleston, home to some of the Bloomsbury Group's key members. If you don't like things too matchy-matchy then this almost identical pair of pretty three-drawer bedside chests might be for you.
They've been hand-painted in "Versailles" - a neutral pale greyish yellow chalk paint, with a Graphite coloured top. The drawer fronts have been decorated with a stylized cow parsley motif, also in Graphite. The interior of the drawers is painted in a contrasting old violet colour. Then they have been waxed all over to give a very subtle sheen.
They would make an ideal addition to a country home interior, sitting either side of a bed, or for a bedroom with a restful colour scheme.
As with all our pieces these are vintage items and display some of the knocks and little dents you would expect a pieces to show over their lifetime which we believe enhances their look. There is just the one pair, so once they're sold they're gone.
