This attractive game of pebbles and shells comes from our Danish Great Grandfather Matzen who knew seven languages and sailed the oceans of the 19th century. We play it on one of the beautiful Cornish beaches during the summer and around the kitchen table in the long winter months. The rules are simple and our youngest children play it with us all the time which helps them with their mental arithmatic too.

Each game is handmade and comes with little embroidered ticking bags for the pebbles and shells. Full instructions are included and the lovely calico bag is finished with a carrick knot to keep it all in. A perfect gift for an adult or child.

Enough shells and pebbles are included for two players but why not take a walk and collect more to increase the number of players.
