Perilla is home to a magnificent range of the finest quality alpaca socks - the ultimate treat for feet.

This business was borne after looking for really luxurious bed socks for my daughter one Christmas and not being able to find anything suitable. A chance meeting with a local leading alpaca breeder steered me in the direction of the fabulous alpaca socks you will see here. We have now been manufacturing alpaca socks to the highest standards for 18 years.

We buy a huge consignment of alpaca yarn from Peru annually, where the grading is of the highest quality. The yarn in then dyed by two British factories and then sent to the knitting factory to be made up and toes sealed by hand. Finally these are then washed, dried, pressed, finished and packed. In total our socks can take up to nine months to get finished. We use three British factories to produce these wonderful real socks.

Our business is run from a converted barn on our farm on the Worcestershire/Herefordshire border and is online only.
