Patrick Laing
Patrick Laing is a product design studio based in central London. A fascination with participative design and a light, playful use of materials drives the broad spectrum of our output, from jewellery, homewares and industrial products to store and exhibition design.
Educated on the last UK 3D course to be based upon the material model of the Bauhaus at the University of Brighton, Laing has also lectured at Central Saint Martins, Camberwell College of Arts and the Design Museum.
Winner of the 2012 Not On The High Street Innovation award for our bespoke finger print rings. Our work has been covered in Elle Decoration, the Independent, the Evening Standard, World of Interiors, Living Etc, House & Garden, Grand Designs, Easy Living, the Times, the Scotsman and the BBC series Making It. Patrick and our ‘Socks’ furniture also made a recent appearance on the BBC series The Apprentice. The Crafts Council describes our new dinner-plate series ‘I could just go to the shops’ as ‘utterly charming and beautifully executed’.
