Font fans rejoice — retro typography is having a moment.
From fashion to art, homeware and interiors, the vogue for a quirky typeface has reached such heights that Virgin Atlantic has launched a commercial art gallery featuring work by the graffiti artist Ben Eine. You know, the one who only works in typeface, the one whose piece David Cameron gifted to Barack Obama when they first met. (It’s still hanging in the White House, fyi). At 35,000ft, first-class passengers can view and purchase pieces by the artist, all from the comfort of their seats.
