Kutuu designs are made with high quality materials that include sterling silver, gemstones and freshwater pearls. Take care of your jewellery by making sure it is the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off, don't wear when showering or swimming and store it in the box somewhere dry. Silver and gold can be polished with a polishing cloth but dips and pastes are not recommended.
Metals
Sterling silver - 92.5% pure silver mixed with other metals for strength.
Fine silver - 99.9% pure silver.
Gold fill (rolled gold) - carat gold mechanically bonded to a base metal, often brass. Gold vermeil - sterling silver coated in carat gold.
Both gold fill and gold vermeil are of higher quality than gold plate but the tones do vary so if purchasing several pieces of gold jewellery with the intention of wearing them together, we recommend that you first check with us how well the tones match.
