This means that on drying and wetting they will be prone ot the forces of contraction and expansion. This may manifest itself as stress fractures and so add to their natural character. They should not be kept indoors as the contractive forces may be too great. This does not apply to sculptural pieces which are described as for indoor use in the product descriptions.
