Parable's beautiful and unique handcrafted products with raised 3D detail in relief, are inspired by a collection of vintage wallpaper printing rollers.

Co-founder Nigel Parker, saved 1200 American rollers after a chance discovery in 1989 and later added 600 British rollers. He moved the collection to the South West of England in 2003 when he and his partner, Amanda Barry, set up the Parable workshop in the heart of the Devonshire countryside.

The workshop was shown on Channel 4 when Kirstie Allsopp visited to make her own candle for Kirstie's Homemade Christmas.

Laurence Lleweyn-Bowen has used Parable's candles in room sets and said, 'Parable... what can only be described as candle fine art. Voluptuous on the eye lit or unlit... candles that are at home in the world's sexiest rooms.'

Theo Paphtis and Jacqueline Gold have both chosen Parable for their social media awards.
