Biodynamic agriculture is a sustainable organic farming method that encourages development of all elements of farming (soil, animals and crops etc) to create a holistic self-sustaining system.
Approx 95% of the seed purchased from Organica Botanica is Biodynamic, the other 5% is sourced from licensed Organic farms. All seed is certified Organic and grown to the high standards of its licensing body.
Agricultural quantities of seed are of no use to the home gardener, we desire small quantities and variety. You will not find (F1) hybrids for sale here, meaning seed can and should be saved from each crop, on a larger scale this creates less waste, less land used solely for seed production, and less resources going into this seed production. Saving the strongest seed from your own crops allows your plants to evolve to your particular environment. giving stronger and healthier plants and encouraging natural diversity.
