These journals are handmade from leather, tanned using vegetable extract and tree bark by a co operative of 40 families in Rajasthan. The recycled cotton paper and natural dyes make this a very natural product. These journals are not gift boxed.
Nkuku journals contain recycled cotton paper. They have a smooth luxurious finish and are suitable for all pen types, drawing, oil painting and pastels.
The cotton used to make our paper is not grown specifically for papermaking. Instead we collect cotton left over from the clothing industry which would otherwise go to waste.
