This beautifully shaped violin cheese board is a best seller and is made to a completely unique design. It will make a wonderful present for the musical cheese lover, as an inspired wedding gift, or an essential for your own kitchen. Cut from beechwood, it is hand finished, and is robust enough to last for years and elegant enough to make a real star turn at the dinner table when served up with the cheese.
The board is plain on one side and decorated on the other for display. In its spare time it can be hung up as a great looking wall decoration!
Our stunning, handmade 'fiddle bow' cheeseknife (additional picture) is made from cherrywood by a master wood carver and is the perfect addition to the board (it is sold separately) - but if you order it with the board you SAVE £5 on the price of both! (just click the 'board and knife set' option)
(Please note: as both the board and knife are made of natural wood, each one will vary slightly in appearance depending on the grain and texture of the wood)

20 Dec 2011I was disappointed with the quality of the wood - it looks too much like MDF to be a thing of beauty.

We are very sorry that you were disappointed with the quality of the cheeseboard. We can assure you that the board is solid beechwood as described, and hand finished with boiled linseed oil to bring out the grain. Beechwood is by nature a light colored wood, but if it was MDF it would look very different! The board is one of our best selling items with many customers returning to buy more. As you have had the board for three weeks, I assume that you do not wish to return it, but if you would like to we will offer a full refund as we only want customers to be very happy with our products.
