M and Lu

After a trip to Denmark and discussion with Lu we designed a Danish inspired table using reclaimed hardwood legs and an mdf top that can be painted in any Farrow & Ball colour.

We were introduced to each other by a mutual friend and academic who teaches domestic furnishings and culture at Oxford University, where I studied furniture and interiors. Dr B recognised that the unity of seamless craftsmanship brought by Lu, and a passion for colour and design brought by M, had potential.

The Edith Side Table is made in a workshop in central Oxford and painted on a farm in rural Bucks. It can be used as a bedside table, a wine table or in a bathroom for magazines and candles. Its uses are endless!
