Vintage reaches Great heights
Lytton & Lily, North Devon's specialist Vintage Home and Garden shop are currently counting their blessings having been selected as finalists for not one but two awards at the forthcoming Greats 2007, Progressive Gifts & Home Awards. Finalists in both the Best Retail Display and Best Independent Retailer South West categories of this national award, Lytton & Lily are going for a double whammy this May pulling out all the stops. Having turned a simple mail order business into a successful store and online shopping experience within a few short years, who knows where their success will take them.
Launched back in 2003, The Greats Awards set out to recognise not only the independent and multiple gift retailers, but also the niche gift retailers. Supplying quality traditional and vintage lifestyle accessories, Lytton & Lily started out as a small mail order business in 2004 and grew into their Barnstaple premises in 2005. Following the continued success of their website www.lyttonandlily.co.uk, they have enjoyed great success with the overseas market, experiencing increasing interest from America. Offering a large range of products from pastel enamelware to natural bodycare, Lytton & Lily provide a wide variety of vintage inspiration for both you and your home.
Lytton & Lily is a family run business established by husband and wife, Debra and Duncan Affleck, with the objective to provide a range of unique and hard-to-find products with timeless appeal for the home and garden. Inspired by Debra's grandparents and naming the shop in their honour, Debra said: "I have always had an appreciation for vintage style and at Lytton & Lily we have a very simple philosophy when it comes to our products; we only sell the things we absolutely love! We are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated as a finalist and now have a nail-biting wait until the winners are announced at their glittering Awards dinner at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London."
