A handmade solar etching of iconic Battersea Power Station, by the Thames in London.
This new body of work is exploring landscapes and skylines, mostly in London and Sussex, using the medium of solar etching. My images come from observing and visiting the same places many times.
The prints are handmade limited edition solar etchings printed using a traditional etching press.
Solar etching differs from traditional etching in that the plate is made using sunlight (or UV lamp) and tap water.
This print is one of an edition of 100. There may be some slight differences between the prints as they are all handmade.
It has been printed onto Fabriano paper using a rich blue/black etching ink.
The unframed print is securely wrapped in clear cellophane with a backing board and information sheet - ready to enjoy or to give as a present.
The actual image size is approximately 15cm x 10 cm . The paper size is approximately 28 cm x 20cm. The print is named, signed and numbered on the front.
