loopylou designs
I graduated from Roehampton University with a BA Hons in Art for the Community. I then went on to do a PGCE and became a teacher in 2000.
When my first daughter, Ella was born in 2003 I created a piece of artwork for her bedroom wall.
During a six week break from teaching, I taught myself to knit and crochet. I picked this up really quickly and it became a hobby of mine.
When my second daughter, Scarlett was born I made her a similar piece of artwork for her bedroom. Lots of my friends began to ask if I would make a piece for their children.
It was at this time that I began experimenting with combining different media; fabric, buttons, felt, wool, vintage papers.
And this is where I am today. Still a busy, full time mum but with a passion for my creations. My designs are mainly for children although some pieces would look great in any room.
