This striking puff sleeve bolero is sourced from two vintage kimono fabrics. The main bodice and part of the sleeve is made from a rare silk fabric called Gorgeous Cattleya Orchard, colour purple, made circa 1950/ 1960.
The collar and sleeves are made from part of another rare silk vintage kimono called Chunky Chrysanthemum, colour purple, also made circa 1950 – 1960. The bolero is lined.
This bolero is really versatile. It can be worn casual with jeans or you can dress up with a slinky party dress.
All of my kimono fabrics are very special to me and I know they will be to you as well. They have a unique feel, each coming with its own sense of history and memories. Touch them and you connect with a time gone by.
This bolero is a one off piece. Purchase and you have the knowledge of knowing that you have acquired a unique handmade garment of your very own to treasure.
Given that this fabric is more than fifty years old there may be occasional marks and slight imperfections, but this all adds to the character and uniqueness of the fabrics.
Available in uk size 8 only. Bust 84 cm, Waist 64 cm, Hips 90 cm.
Material: 100% silk crepe.
Care: Dry clean.
