Lilly*Blossom book bags are ideal for catching a few chapters of your favourite book on the way to work or relaxing on holiday by the beach. They make the perfect original handmade gift for any book lover. This sewing guide will show you how to make them.

It has step-by-step instructions in straight forward language, complete with close up photographs showing you every step of the way. The bag is made from simple rectangular shapes so there is no difficult measuring.
This finished book bag will cover an average 600 page paperback measuring approximately 13cm x 22cm and 3-4cm deep.
It has a soft wadding between the layers of fabric which will protect your book. Attached is a beaded bookmark which hangs stylishly when the bag is carried, adding a touch of luxury. Simply insert your book into the cover and it's turned into a bag which you just open to read, what could be easier.
Please note this product is a sewing guide only and does not include any fabric or materials for completing the project. The images of completed book bags are for example only.
To make a beautiful book bag you will need approximately half a metre of your favourite cotton fabric, a small amount of cotton sheeting, wadding and iron-on interfacing as well as some ribbon and your choice of three co-ordinating beads.These materials are not included with the guide.
Basic sewing equipment including pins, thread, scissors, tape measure and an iron will also be needed.
