This luxury Silk Scarf is designed using batik wax to create the white botanical silhouette of the Iris, with a hand rolled finish.

This scarf is large and the Habotai weight of the silk beautifully drapes over your body.
The design was first drawn by Libby on her friend's Batik Studio in Yogyakarta, she then traced the design onto silk and painted wax into the fabric, this was then dip dyed using natural indigo dye and dried in the Indonesian sunlight to set the colour. Once she returned to England she had the design reproduced onto silk where the final scarves have been beautifully created and produced.
Variations
This design is one of three style variations created using the wax silhouette against Indigo, The 'Batik Iris' , 'Batik Agapanthus' and the 'Tulip Batik'.
