These beautiful traditional rag dolls are hand made in Sri Lanka by a fair trade company.
As well as providing their employees with a fair wage and decent working conditions, the company are trustees of the Swim Lanka charity which provides support to children from tsunami affected areas,
The rag doll comes dressed in a lovely pink pinafore and green top. Four additional outfits are available so she can have numerous clothes changes during the day if she so wishes. There are velcro fasteners rather the zips or buttons on the clothes so they are easy for a small person to take off and put back on again (and again).
In choosing one of these rag doll you are helping empower the person who made her to gain financial independence and support their family and they make lovely ethical gifts.
As the rag dolls are handmade you should not expect the one you receive to look exactly like the photograph. We think this adds to their charm and hope you do too.

As the dolls clothes are handmade in Sri Lanka it is not possible to guarantee the precise size, although as there is only one pair of trousers to fit over the feet this is not usually a problem. This is the first complaint of this kind we have received so you may have received a faulty set. If you would like to return them to us we will happily exchange them or refund you. The doll is not too bad but I bought an extra set of clothes - these are poor and very difficult for a 4 year old to dress the doll as the feet especially are so large and the clothes are a tight fit.
