    Presenting our Modern Day Globe. Up to date cartography created by Lander & May using natural Earth map imagery, but handmade in the traditional way.

    A unique gift for someone special. Designed to sit on a desk or table top. Printed map artwork has been hand applied to a plaster ball then sealed and varnished, in the way globes used to be made hundreds of years ago.

    No garish 'school globe' colouring to be found here, the globe is tastefully presented with a vaguely vintage feel, and presented on a turned wooden stand painted in Farrow & Ball's 'Railings' for a smart classic finish. No plastic ball either, our globes are all made by hand using British components and traditional materials.

    Dimensions

    Globe diameter is 33cm. Height is 58cm.

    Made from

    Each globe is made using a plaster ball, with applied printed paper map artwork, then sealed and varnished. Stands are wood, and metalwork is British stainless steel. The globe itself may be dusted, but should not be washed. Metalwork may be carefully polished.

    Our globes are not toys, and should be handled with care. But treated with respect they will last for generations, and become family heirlooms of the future.
