Kartimarket

Kartimarket specialises in beautiful home products that are either handmade or made in small-scale workshops. We offer a range of bowls, cups, cushions and tea towels from Indonesia, India and Vietnam, among other countries. Our products are sourced from artisans affiliated with fair trade registered organisations so not only do they look great, but you can rest assured that the people behind the products are getting a decent price for their hard work.

We import most of our products directly to the UK. In addition, we also design our own prints and commission work with graphic designers to produce hand screen-printed, organic fair trade cotton tea towels and cushions. As a result, we are able to offer some truly unique products not available elsewhere.

Kartimarket combines the expertise of brothers Chris, a product designer, and Jaya, who has a background in international development. We work with our suppliers to improve existing products and develop new products with an emphasis on design and quality to increase the value-added for the artisans.

As a new company, our range is expanding and we have some exciting new partnerships in more countries with developing country artisans and international organisations in the works.
