An original acrylic and mixed media painting by Jo Nash.
Fragility Study Three is a painting that looks at the themes of memory degradation and loss. The forms are created by using shredded family photographs, the colours bleed from them creating the effect of the photograph or 'memory' dissolving and this represents loss. The ground colour was chosen to be subtle and light allowing the colours bleeding from the shredded photographs to show through and be seen.
