This quirky porcelain ring has been made by impressing one of my handmade flower stamps into a disc of glacier porcelain while it is still malleable. The mark that is left resembles a gorgeous stylised dandelion seed head.
After the clay has dried out I brush over transparent glaze to bring the surface to life and protect it. Once high fired to 1260 degrees C, I glue the piece to a silver plated adjustable ring.
A beautiful addition to your trinket box, or a fabulous unique little work of art to present as a gift! It is sent out to you in a kraft jewellery box with foam pad inner.
Although the ring is strong it is made from ceramic so don't be tempted to do the gardening, build a brick wall or take up professional arm wrestling whilst wearing it. Instead, think of it as the perfect trinket to adorn yourself with whilst sipping fine tea in a summer garden with some equally beautiful people or being rowed down a lazy river on a warm August evening (other such occasions would also be suitable).
Approx size of porcelain disc 20mm.
