Form, function, texture.

I am an upholsterer and renovator of period chairs, specialising in English pieces, from the 20's through to the early 80's.

I have an extensive stock of mid century modern chairs, which I refurbish completely and offer for sale fully finished. I only use natural fabrics such as linen, wool or cotton.

I particularly love the juxtaposition of good old wood and a fabulous woven cotton fabric, combining the best of the old and the best of the new. I often use a range of Free Trade, organic cloth, woven in India, which retains all the slubby feel of the small looms through which it is brought to life.
