Our first range of naturally dyed small scarves, made in collaboration with a women's cooperative in Guatemala.
The threads are then carefully woven using a backstrap loom, an ancient Mayan tradition passed down from generation to generation. It’s a technique that requires plenty of time, focus and patience, each suma scarf has taken over 2 days to make.

They are everything that a good scarf should be (warm, breathable, unique), and they help accelerate positive change too. Great for girls, kids or gentlemen alike, and especially for folk who like to wear their heart on their sleeve, and connect with the products they consume.
On the banks of lake atitlan, Guatemala, live some of the last remaining small groups of women that practice the art of naturally dying their cotton. The colours for the thread in these scarves has been produced mainly from local trees, plants, fruits and herbs.
Made from 100% cotton, dyed with natural colours that will never run.
Being 100% cotton, it’s soft to the skin, warm, breathable and hypoallergenic.
When looked after well, our scarves last a lifetime. We recommend washing in a cool machine wash, and then hanging to air dry.
