Helen is a mum, with a background in developmental psychology. Her first steps into making and selling her own creations came about when she designed BabySteps: The First Year – a keepsake to record baby's precious firsts. BabySteps: The First Year allows new parents to keep track of the physical, emotional, intellectual and social progress of baby's first year. It helps parents to learn about their baby as their baby learns about the world.

Since then Helen has added to her range. She now creates gorgeous, handpainted, personalisable keepsakes and gifts. Whatever the occasion - new baby, retirement, birthdays from 0 to 100, Helen can create a gift that is sure to delight.

Helen is also passionate about supporting other small creative enterprises. She seeks out talented and creative folk who also make gorgeous, handmade goodies that demand to be shared with NotOnTheHighStreet customers.
