A gorgeous necklace made with vintage glass beads and stones dating from the 1930s, some being quite rare.
Echoing beautiful harvest colours, there are many shades of purple; from palest lilac to amethyst and wonderful rich amber shades such as topaz, tortoiseshell and butterscotch. The three stunning yellow flowers were handmade in Japan c. 1940, using a lamp work technique, where the glass is pinched into shape whilst still hot. There are lots of different shapes and textures to be found and each bead is interspersed with a small 1940s amber rondelle. A mixture of vintage and new brass plated leaf and pine cone charms completes the piece.
The necklace measures 46cm in length but can be made shorter, depending on where you fix the clasp.
This necklace is packaged in a lovingly designed pouch made from beautiful vintage fabrics and buttons.
