There is something satisfying about looking at your passport and seeing all the places you have visited represented by a collection of stamps. I think passports have a sense of nostalgia to them; they aren't something you want to discard and throw away. However, it seems a shame that this keepsake is usually left in a man-drawer, hiding away somewhere. So, this is how this series of prints came about.
There may have been a particular year that you travelled a lot - on a gap year or a honeymoon. Or you may be planning a trip away in the future and want something to represent your excitement.
Secify up to 15 cities or countries and the dates you visited them. If you don't know the dates, just list the destinations. If you have a particular location that is special to you that is not a city or country you can list these too - for example a name of a landmark, venue or hotel - anything you like, there are no restrictions. Some of the stamps will also feature illustrations of landmarks from the destinations, where relevant. If less than 15 destinations are listed then I will fill in the gaps by repeating some of the stamps. Each print is made-to-order and therefore I can easily accomodate any requests you may have. Each print is completely different so if you would like to recieve a proof of the design before it is printed and dispatched then please let me know when you put the order through.
FRAMES:
I offer a professional framing service, working with a locally based framing company that is noted as being one of the best in the UK. The wood used is Italian and only sourced from sustainable resources. The frame comes ready-to-hang with a string hanger already attached. The mounts used are acide-free so the print and frame will last a lifetime.
PAPER:
For this print, i use 315gsm matt cotton rag paper that produces strong and vivid colours that last.
