Green & Sanders

Jane Green and Debs Sanders, old friends from Kingston art college, formed Green & Sanders, a company specialising in exquisitely hand-painted peppermills, hand-made cards and canvases.

After an antique peppermill belonging to Jane became an object of desire amongst her friends, Green & Sanders realised that there was an opportunity to create the ultimate decorative work of art for the table. Unable to find an appropriate blank wooden mill to paint, they designed a unique one of their own and commissioned British woodturner, Gary Rance to exclusively hand-turn the mills for them. They selected tulip wood for its durability and light weight and the 18 inch mechanisms are Cole and Mason for the ultimate quality grind.

Green and Sanders, working together in their barn-conversion studio, then transform each blank mill. Over many hours they are lovingly hand-painted, distressed, embellished with vintage sequins and trimmings, until each becomes a decadent yet functional, individual and unique work of art. The designs are varied and extravagant. It is their mutual love for decorative art but their individual styles which make the mills truly unique.

A Green & Sanders peppermill is a work of art for your table.
