This eyecatching Sugar Canadian Maple leaf brooch is made from a real leaf, making each brooch unique and a real statement pin for your lapel

This brooch can be worn with almost any outfit and looks wonderful on a chunky winter scarf, shawl or a dark coloured coat.

The brooch has a simple pin fastening and an extra loop at the top to allow you to wear it as a necklace with the addition of a chain.

We think of the leaf brooches as individual pieces of wearable art, the attention to detail is simply beautiful.

Variations

The maple leaf brooch is available in a gold or silver finish, but we do also have necklaces available which have a wider range of colour finishes.

Each of our pieces is handmade with great care and attention to detail and designed in our studio in the beautiful Rutland countryside.

Dimensions

As our brooches are made from real, natural leaves, sizes do differ, as mama nature intended, but as a guide they are approximately 1.5 - 2".

How is it made ?

The leaf to make the brooch is hand picked, then checked for imperfections, as only perfect leaves can be used to make our jewellery.

The leaf is then hand painted with a cooper solution, dried then placed in an electrolytic solution which has microscopic particles of 24k gold ( nickel free).

When this contact is made the particles of gold build up to preserve the most delicate intricate details of the leaf.

The final step is to paint the delicate leaf with the different colour finishes.

Once polished and cleaned the shiny new coating shows and magnifies the delicate minute details of the leaf.

Care Guide:

Please note that contact with household chemicals, chlorinated water, or any beauty lotions and sprays may cause corrosion and accelerate tarnishing.

So it’s a good idea to remove any jewellery when doing household chores and getting ready.
