An amazing experience day where you can enjoy spending time and learning to work with working Shire horses on a 1940's style Devon Farm.
Completely tailored to your interests and requirements, this experience day is for those who want the opportunity to spend some quality time with these magnificent beasts. Whether it is a chance to take loved ones down memory lane or make the day into a real hands on learning experience, our aim at Lower Upcott Farm is to make this into an unforgett able day which will always be treasured. Delicious lunch and gift voucher included. No experience with horses required.
A typical day will include a chance to brush and harness the horses, a trip out around our quiet Devon lanes in the cart with two of our horses (with you driving if you like), and a chance to drive a horse from the ground in the afternoon. However, it is your day and we are well used to tailoring the day to peoples needs and wishes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The experience day is just for you and any others you wish to include, so it can be arranged at a time which suits both you and your hosts Ben and Lorraine. It is suggested that you bring warm clothes, stout boots and waterproofs so as to be prepared for all weather conditions. Lunch is provided and Ben and Lorraine need to be made aware of any dietary requirements or allergies prior to the experience day. They must also be advised of any relevant medical considerations which will impact on how the day is organised, so that the experience can be tailored to your needs. There is plenty of parking at the farm. Accomodation can be booked at time of arranging the course. No dogs please.
