These cute pixies come from the bottom of the garden. Acorn is orange, Birch is blue, Daffodil is yellow, Fern is green, Rose is pink and Violet is purple. They have no facial features because according to the Steiner theory if toys have minimal expressions then a child is able to project their own emotions onto it which leads to more creative play. So if you're sleepy you can pretend your pixie is sleepy too.
In choosing a pixie you will be helping sustain fairly paid employment in rural Bangladesh. They were hand crocheted there by women working for a none profit fair trade organisation. The organisation helps keep families together by providing employment in a village setting close to the women's homes rather than in a city. Mothers are able to stay with their babies and children and earn money to support them.
One of these pixies would make a lovely gift to welcome a new baby or to take to a baby shower, naming ceremony, Christening or Baptism. They would also be a great birthday present for a baby or toddler.
The pixies are approximately 13 cm tall. They are made from 100% cotton. They are machine washable at 40 degrees and can be tumble dried on a low setting. CE (European safety standard) certified and suitable from birth.

Sweetest little rattles ever - fab colours, excellent sourcing ethic... but maybe too lovely for every day at nursery ? They look too cute to share!

I wish I was talented enough to make one myself! Beautifully made, nice rattle - not startling noise, very pretty, a good size and fairtrade too. Definitely recommend!
