The glass bottle is the perfect form to hold and display the Kishu Binchotan and is made from mouth-blown glass made by excellent Danish designers.
Kishu Binchotan is purely white charcoal and adsorbs chlorine from tap water by up to 75%, softening it and improving its taste, whilst also adding minerals, such as potassium and magnesium.
Kishu Binchotan is a stick of White Charcoal. This is the highest grade of charcoal available with an extremely high carbon content. White Charcoal gets its unlikely name from the manufacturing process it goes through. The raw material is a particularly hard Japanese oak called Holm oak that grows in the mountain forests of the Kishu area in Japan where it is organically produced and handcrafted using ancient craft traditions.
Efficiency and power best describe White Charcoal. This is a form of carbon with a dense, glass-like structure that has become extremely porous during the pro-duction process. Different types of wood result in charcoals with different struc-tures and densities and this, in turn, inspires different applications. White Charcoal contains more than 90 percent pure carbon and has a powerful ability to adsorb thanks to its extremely porous surface. White Charcoal is at the heart of Asian traditions surrounding wellbeing and purification.
