These vintage french Larousse books are beautiful editions. I imagine they are the french equivalent to another Colporter favourite, the penguin classic in orange, although these are flouncier in appearance.
These would be wonderful if you could actually read french, otherwise they are just so pretty to look at and have on your bookshelf.
