This Christmas cross stitch Advent calendar has been designed so you can stitch your way up to Christmas!
The design is inspired by retro Christmas designs and features snowflakes, trees, Christmas stars and if you look closely you'll even spot candy canes too. You receive a suggestion of how to stitch the design, there are 24 different things to stitch with festive coloured thread, so you can do one each day in December until Christmas day. It would make an ideal pre-Christmas gift for a craft lover or you could stitch the individual elements and cut them out to make Christmas decorations.
Each printed felt piece comes with a kit which includes a postcard with cross stitch instructions, 4 skeins of embroidery thread (2 reds and 2 greens), a needle and a guide of which shape to stitch each day of advent.
The design has been printed using black non-toxic inks on white eco felt you can then add colour with your stitches.
You may also like to add an embroidery hoop, this can be used to hold the fabric in place and make stitching a bit easier, although it is not essential to use one when completing the calendar. You could also use the hoop to display a section of the fabric when completed.
The design is hand screen printed in London using environmentally friendly printing inks on to felt fabric which is made from recycled plastic bottles.
The fabric calendar measures approx. 40cm x 50cm,the print is 35cm x 45cm so you can trim it when finished or add stitches around the edge.
The instruction postcard is A6 size and the length of each embroidery thread is 8 metres.
