An Original by Dasha

Dasha the founder of company An Original by Dasha was born in Slovakia growing up on the farm. During studying fashion in London she worked as a nanny and decided to focus on childrenswear. In 2005 she become the client of the Prince's Trust charity and started her own company. Dasha prides herself on keeping in touch with members of her community in Slovakia.Using London as her base, she sources fabrics from all over the world and local villagers and craftsmen to help realize her designs. Every detail is kingly hand crocheted and stitched by elderly women who are made to feel useful and are paid inaccordance with fair-trade standards.

Each design has its own story – and she hopes that the children who wear her clothes will be touched by the magic of her own childhood.
