12 Apr 2011Upon opening, my wife found that all the biscuits in the box were 'stuck' to the separation packaging and as each biscuit was pulled away, half of the underside of each biscuit was left stuck to the paper!!! I was very disappointed with these and will be contacting not on the high street.com direct.

Hello Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to write to us. We are very sorry to hear that you were not happy with your purchase. We always encourage customers to contact us directly regarding any problems surrounding an order as we will always do our utmost to resolve any issues as best we can. As our biscuits are intricately iced unfortunately we can not package them loosely in the our tins as all the icing detail would get broken, so to protect them while in transit we ice our biscuits to each layer of glassine to stop them rattling around and getting damaged. Our biscuits can generally be cleanly peeled off the food safe glassine layers with just a dab of icing left on the back of the biscuit. However change in temperature, humidity and conditions of storage while in transit can effect the texture of the biscuits and I imagine perhaps if your biscuits were slightly softer than usual they may be harder to peel off. This can occasionally happen especially with our chocolate biscuits as they are less crunchy than our vanilla biscuits. I am happy to send you another Love Tin, I hope you now know the reasons behind icing/sticking our biscuits to the glassine layers you can understand why we do it.
