Beaubags

In 2005 designer Steve Weekes decided she wanted to design and make fashion items using reclaimed, recycled and pre-used materials.

Her aim was to produce a collection of handbags that in terms of design and quality were exceptional, distinctive and gave an individual character but without compromising the environment.

She decided to produce only one of each design hence they are truly unique.

She uses vintage fabrics, off-cuts of leather, reclaimed clasps and fittings etc hence they are truly eco-friendly.

Materials are sourced locally and all the bags are designed and handmade in England ensuring a small carbon footprint.

The ecological element of Beaubags is a key facet of the company's ethos which distinguishes it's range from mass produced high street goods.
