This handmade artwork has butterflies created from a vintage map of London with the full map as its background. The map runs up the sides of the shadow box frame. Each butterfly is individually hand cut with a range of wing shapes and sizes. The butterflies have coloured underwings to match the map background.

This is part of a series of works based on maps and charts, inspired by my fascination with museum collections. The pattern the butterflies create is different for each piece making each artwork unique.

This piece can be personalised with a favourite country or city making a unique and very special gift.

Artist's Version: 'Vintage London" or "Vintage Paris'. Each piece is based on the format of the main picture but pattern, butterfly size and wing shape will vary making each a unique artwork.

Personalised Version: Made to order with city or country of your choice. Can also include messages, names or dates to mark special events.

Choose from black, white or natural wood frame.

The piece comes in a choice of two sizes

Small: 25 x 25 x 4.5 cm

Large: 35.7 x 35.7 x 4.5 cm
