For young babies, a hand or foot can be placed directly onto the ink-pad. However, the pad is designed to allow you to take prints from older babies too, by wiping the pad across the baby's hand or foot to get complete ink coverage before taking a print.

We always encourage customers to contact us directly regarding any problems surrounding an order as we will always do our utmost to resolve any issues as best we can, or use the information to improve our products and services. This product is designed to be safe to use with babies, and as such has to undergo rigorous testing. We are particularly sorry to learn that it stained your babies hands, as the ink is supposed to be washable, but rest assured that it won't actually do the child any harm. Baby-safe ink pads are not easy to find in the UK, and because of this the price is certainly higher than you would pay for a standard ink pad. In recognition of this, we offer free postage and packing for this product. If you have any further issues or problems with it, please do not hesitate to contact us. Best wishes
