Amy Keeper Jewellery
Inspired by sentimental jewellery of the Victorian and Georgian eras, Amy uses the photographed characters from vintage postcards from the 1920’s and 30’s to make pieces of jewellery with a nostalgic narrative.
In using images, motifs and hand written messages from the vintage postcards in my jewellery, Amy hopes to reflect the romantic sentiment with which they were originally sent; sometimes setting the images and writing behind rock crystal cabuchons to include them as precious elements, and sometimes using photo-etching to create the suggestion of a contemporary cameo.
Amy often includes further semi-precious elements to her jewellery to give them a splash of colour with faceted garnets, or to add a touch of class with hand strung fresh water pearls. Pendants come either with sterling silver chains adorned with semi-precious beads or on strings of fresh water pearls, garnets or smoky quartz.
