Alice run’s a highly personal service. Her portrait sessions can be approached in two ways: either she will come to you and spend up to a day in your home where a trip to the park or to your special location can be included, or you are invited to come to her wonderfully relaxed shabby chic Bed and Breakfast in Cley- Next the -Sea on the North North Norfolk Coast for a really relaxed photographic experience. It is common for two girlfriends to combine a weekend away with their children with one of Alice’s portrait experiences by the sea.
Alice’s portrait sessions are always very relaxed and fun. She is totally at ease with children and will happily play and engage in general nonsense conversation with your little ones on arrival in your home. We all have seen those stiff rather unrelaxed portraits of children sat on top of the mantelpiece. Alice offers something totally different.
She will go to huge lengths to relax your child and ensure that the session is fun. She trained to Masters level at The Royal College of Art and alongside her portraiture her Fine Art work has been bought twice by the Victoria and Albert Museum as well as The Bradford Museum of Photography Film and Television and by Saatchi. Drawing on her Fine Art training, Alice has a wonderful eye for colour, detail and composition and is a wonderful stylist who has a natural ability to engage your children and create quirky yet classic portraits which you will cherish for years to come. Alice works with natural light as much as possible, also using studio light when necessary.
Alice gives unlimited time to her sessions, each child is different and Alice will quickly engage with the individuals nature and create a situation where your child is relaxed and feels confident. She is an expert at captivating a bolshy teenager, diverting a two-year-olds attention, and dealing with the inevitable running noses and jammy fingers.
Alice has a large collection of vintage props which she is happy to bring to the session, she will advise on clothes which might be changed a couple of times throughout the session, perhaps into a wonderful dressing up outfit!
Alice is a people person and it is important to say that you too will enjoy your day spent with her. She will produce strong, natural portraits which are always printed on the most beautiful paper. Once you have had a session with Alice, will find yourself at the beginning of a lifelong relationship with her as you find yourself asking her to capture the rapid process of your children’s childhoods time and time again.
