This fine fused glass butterfly is based on a real species, the Glassy Tiger (Parantica Aglea). The butterfly is mounted in a vintage gilt frame with a gleaming gold leaf background.
The glass is created with a complex technique using tesselating glass pieces and glass powders which are all fused together in the the heat of the kiln and given a three dimensional shape, so the butterfly sits proud of its frame, looking as though it has just landed on the picture.
There is the option for the artwork to be packaged in a giftbox if it is to be a present.
