The saying ‘As soft as a baby’s bottom’ did not occur by accident. At birth, the skin of a baby is extremely vulnerable and is super sensitive to roughness or abrasion. This is why our babywear is made from 100% Baby Alpaca, the finest and softest grade of Alpaca, guaranteed ‘no prickle’ because a baby can’t say “It feels scratchy, mum.”
But soft and snuggly on its own isn’t enough to keep babies happy. The hollow fibre properties of Baby Alpaca insulate from heat and cold, regulating temperature and allowing the baby’s body to breathe naturally. The fabric naturally wicks away moisture and damp from skin, leaving baby comfortable in most climates or temperatures.
We haven’t neglected the practical aspects of baby garments, either. All our collection can be machine washed on a gentle cycle at 30 deg and the fine fibres retain their lustrous appearance.
