Alpaca Art Deco Intarsia Cardigan by Absolutely Alpaca

Intarsia knitting, or 'picture knitting' as it is also known, is an ancient textile art that requires immense patience and skill. Peruvian artists create the garments on a hand operated loom, using a melange of colours to create a mosaic effect which is visible on both sides of the fabric and on both sides of the garment.

These unusual designs are particularly striking when viewed from a distance and richly deserve the description 'art knits'.

Available in a mix of deep blues and reds.

Available in small (uk 8 - 10) and medium (size 12 - 14).

Material: 50% Alpaca, 50% Acrylic.
