Hi, I'm Gemma. I'm the founder of sugar & cement (as well as the maker, painter, packer, poster, photographer, writer, social media manager... you get the idea!)

sugar & cement is a small - but ever-growing - homeware brand. My core collection of picture frames includes classic bobbin styles and fun painted pieces, and my stripey string lampshades are equally striking and bright. I wanted to create products that are bold and soft, and I love the idea of giving customers who rent their home the chance to incorporate a splash of F&B paint into their decor or invest in a statement lighting accessory they can take with them wherever they move. For homeowners, my frames and lampshades can be customised to match your more permanent walls or furniture!

Every single piece you can see in my shop is handmade by me in Wilshire, where I live with my partner and our pup, Hughie.
